Welcome to my art section! I'll say this right off the bat... since I'm relatively
new to this art stuff, my art leaves A LOT to be desired. I'm still learning
the ropes. The first few pics are pretty much crap... but I think the later
ones are a big improvement... though I still churn out the occasional crappy pic. :P
If you feel like saying something about them, feel free to email me... but please, if you're going to criticize, do it in a constructive manner, aight?
Now on to the thumbnails...
About my art...
My art style is definitely manga/anime. I've been influenced too much by anime and video games that I've never given thought to drawing with any other style.
I prefer CG'ing my pics cell-style, though I occasionally do non cell-style CG's (gradient style? I dunno what to call it). I wish I could do realistic style but I think you need art classes for that (something I never had and will not have in the near future)
My art experience...
I started drawing June 2001. I was in the middle of our college thesis and I had to leave my PC at school leaving me with limited sources of recreation in my apartment. I guess the severe boredom (and PC separation anxiety) drove me to try new stuff. I found a couple of pencils lying around... started doodling, haven't stopped since then ^_^
Art Section Mini-FAQ
I get asked these questions a lot...
Do you take fanart requests?
No. Sorry, I just don't have time anymore.
Can I use your art?
Sure! but on the following conditions:
1) you let me know what you're gonna use it for
2) credit me for the pic! Please, don't just take my stuff without asking my permission. If you do, that's just plain stealing! Anybody who steals from me gets their private parts flayed and soaked in vinegar... so let me know first, k? :P
How do you CG your pics?
I use Adobe Photoshop 7. I can't fully explain the CG'ing process here, but there are plenty of excellent CG'ing tutorials on the 'net to help you out. Julie Dillon has a great CG tutorial at howtodrawmanga.com You might wanna check out the Polykarbon tutorials too. These were the two sites that got me started.
Can I link up to your site?
Sure! This site is link-free. Just let me know if you want to link up so I can place a link to your page from mine as well. Check the links section for banners you can use.
